      Rehab Productions: Company History 

      Sean Leman started Rehab in 2000 primarily as a commercial film production company serving advertising agencies and their clients. Since its inception the company has expanded its services to include long-format documentary and branded content production for key clients like Gap, Qwest, AT&T, Comcast, independent record labels, and other clients. 

      Rehab’s work for clients and agencies has won numerous awards and has been featured in Adweek, Creativity, Ad Age, Millimeter, Shoot, and other industry magazines, as well as numerous Top Spot mentions on AdCritic.com. The company has offices in Denver and San Francisco. 

      Sean Leman, Director, graduated from Georgetown University in 1989 with a BA in English Literature and went on to work as a copywriter for several advertising agencies in Chicago. After moving to Denver he worked his way up through several production companies, starting as production assistant and moving ultimately to executive producer and finally director. He has directed more than a hundred television commercials, music videos, documentaries, short-form animations, and branded content programs. Throughout his career he has worked extensively with children, directing both professional and non-professional child talent from as young as 3 to as old as 18. He lives in Denver with his wife Elizabeth and their two children, Madeleine, 5, and Christian, 3. 

      Karen Beard, Senior Producer, graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1970 with a BS in Education and in 1973 moved to Denver to work as a script editor on a middle-school career education program. Since then she has worked as producer, unit production manager, and line producer on hundreds of feature films, episodic network series, and commercials. Her decades of experience in all aspects of production make her an invaluable asset; as such she oversees all Rehab production and personally produces select projects. 

      Chris Hewitt, Musician (We were so fortunate to have had Chris do the music for our first production. Mr. Hewitt, has since passed away and is a great loss to the music industry.)

      Chris Hewitt, of Out Of The Box, is an experienced and dynamic composer for television and film. He has scored over 150 episodes for Animal Planet; created numerous music packages for Food Network, HGTV, and Starz; he is the recipient of numerous awards for artistic innovation and excellence in music, including a grant for experimental recording from NARAS (Los Angeles). Chris holds an extreme passion for the music he makes and takes great pride in making it truly reflect the pictures it embraces.

      Sue Beddingfield Vice President, Propeller ConsultingSue Beddingfield is a strategic marketing executive with more than 20 years experience in launching and building brands. Before joining Propeller, Sue had her own business, Surround Marketing Group, specializing in developing and implementing business, brand and marketing plans, primarily for children’s and family brands. Prior to forming Surround, Beddingfield served as Senior Vice President, Marketing, for HIT Entertainment (formerly Lyrick Studios), where she authored innovative marketing programs for many blue-chip children’s entertainment brands.

      She was a member of the executive management team responsible for developing and maintaining Barney’s classic-character status in the preschool category. Additionally, Beddingfield created and managed launch plans for popular characters Bob the Builder and The Wiggles, building Bob to an award-winning (License of the Year) $100 million launch in the U.S., and generating a media and sales frenzy with The Wiggles. She also designed the brand extension plan for Angelina Ballerina, growing Angelina from a classic book character to a successful television and video series.
